The buffer
Property development can be fluid and evolve as a development progresses, at North Made Studio we understand this and have put in place a system that can account for the event that the spec changes during the CGI production process.
It is referred to as ‘The Buffer’, it builds into our quote an additional safeguard cost that can be added to cover for additional revisions and edits that go beyond the norm.
The Buffer is engrained within the quote, so there are no surprises with the overall cost of a project.
Normal revisions cover the following:
- Surface colour changes
- Moving furniture
- Reducing amount of furniture
- Removing decor
- Change wall colour
- Change of furniture colour/texture
- Lighting edits (move main light source,
- Model item swaps (furniture, accessories)
If edits go beyond these The Buffer will be utilised to cover the additional costs.
The Buffer covers edits that include changes such as:
- Geometry changes to structures.
- Geometric changes to furniture/decor
- Camera angle changes
- Time of day change
The Buffer is worked out on a individual project by project basis and you will be given an allocation of design time in hours. As The Buffer is used, you will receive updates to notify you of how much has been used and how much is left. In the event that changes cannot be covered by The Buffer (excess time is required, or changes to too large scale) this process would be halted and the project requoted.
