Ancoats House is an exclusive collection of 28 luxury apartments located in the heart of Manchester’s most dynamic and culturally rich neighbourhood.

Blending contemporary elegance with refined materiality, the development offers modern living in one of the city’s most desirable locations.

Commissioned by the project team, North Made Studio delivered architectural CGI and 3D visualisation for Ancoats House, Manchester, producing photorealistic renders and VR architectural visualisation to support marketing and planning for this residential development.

Our team created all exterior and interior CGIs alongside a fully immersive VR tour, helping communicate the building’s design intent, specification, and lifestyle appeal to prospective buyers and investors. Our visuals formed the foundation of the project’s marketing, sales and digital presentation strategy.

The Development

Ancoats House offers 28 luxury apartments positioned within one of Manchester’s most sought-after districts—an area celebrated for its creativity, heritage architecture and vibrant food and cultural scene.

Once at the centre of Manchester’s cotton industry, Ancoats has been transformed into a thriving neighbourhood of independent cafés, award-winning restaurants, cultural venues and beautifully restored red-brick streets.

The location’s unique blend of “old-world charm and modern city energy,” makes it a highly desirable address for residents seeking style, convenience and connectivity.

Inside, the homes are designed with premium finishes and an aesthetic defined by warm terracotta and rich brown tones. The specification includes herringbone flooring, handleless matt-lacquer kitchens, sandstone-effect worktops, brushed-brass brassware, Biscuit carpets and contemporary bathrooms featuring beige porcelain tiles. Each apartment is crafted to deliver luxurious comfort, effortless functionality and a calm, contemporary atmosphere.

With Manchester’s extensive transport links, cultural institutions and major regeneration activity—highlighted throughout the brochure—the development is positioned to appeal to both homeowners and investors seeking high-quality urban living in a rapidly growing city. This project adds to our growing portfolio of architectural visualisation projects in Manchester and the North West.

Our Visualisation Approach

Our visualisation approach for Ancoats House centred on conveying the development’s refined interior aesthetic and distinctive architectural presence within its urban context. Using architectural drawings, interior design references and material palette, we crafted a full suite of exterior CGIs that captured the building’s modern brick façade, strong geometry and relationship with the surrounding Ancoats streetscape. These visuals positioned the building within a recognisable, energetic city setting—an important element of the development’s appeal.

For the interiors, we focused on showcasing the carefully curated design language: warm terracotta tones, natural textures, brushed-brass details, herringbone flooring and a soft, ambient lighting concept. Our CGIs were composed to highlight the luxurious yet grounded atmosphere intended for the apartments, echoing the “understated opulence” and palette of natural hues referenced in the aesthetic guide. Every material—from sandstone-effect worktops to Biscuit carpets and porcelain tiles—was replicated with accuracy to ensure consistency between design intent and visual representation.

The VR tour extended these qualities into an immersive digital experience. We built a fully navigable, room-to-room walkthrough enabling prospective residents and investors to understand spatial relationships, material richness and lighting behaviour at real scale. This tool proved especially valuable for off-plan sales, making it possible to experience the homes long before completion.
