Planning support, marketing and sales collateral
Transforming a historic civic building into contemporary living, North Made Studio created high-end interior CGI and 3D visualisations for Ollier Smurthwaite’s redevelopment of a Probation Centre.
Located in Stockport, Greater Manchester, the scheme transforms a former civic building into high-quality residential apartments. Our interior architectural visualisation was created to support planning, marketing and sales, helping communicate the design intent and lifestyle of the development.

THE DEVELOPMENT
The redevelopment of the former Stockport Probation Centre is a key residential conversion project within Stockport town centre, forming part of the wider regeneration of Greater Manchester’s urban core. Led by Ollier Smurthwaite, the scheme transforms a historic civic building into a collection of contemporary apartments, blending heritage architecture with modern living.
Planning approval has been secured for the conversion, with the design retaining defining architectural features such as exposed brickwork, structural elements and original proportions. These historic details are complemented by carefully designed interior layouts tailored to modern residential lifestyles.
The development contributes to Stockport’s growing residential market, supporting demand for high-quality town centre living. Internally, the apartments prioritise natural light, open-plan layouts and refined material palettes. This balance of heritage and contemporary design creates a strong visual identity, ideally suited for property marketing CGI and architectural visualisation, ensuring the scheme is clearly communicated to buyers, investors and stakeholders.
OUR VISUALISATION APPROACH
As a specialist CGI studio in the UK, our approach focused on producing high-end photorealistic interior CGI and 3D architectural visualisation that accurately reflects both the building’s heritage and its future residential use. These visuals were designed to support planning submissions, property marketing campaigns and investor presentations.
Working closely with Ollier Smurthwaite’s design team and the project specification, we developed a series of detailed 3D interior renderings that capture the unique spatial qualities of the apartments. Key architectural features — including exposed brick walls, vaulted ceilings, skylights and mezzanine spaces — were carefully modelled to highlight character and authenticity.
Lighting was a critical component of the visualisation process. We combined natural daylight with soft, realistic artificial lighting to enhance atmosphere and create warm, inviting interiors. This approach ensures the CGI not only represents the design accurately but also appeals to prospective buyers.
Material finishes were developed in line with the specification, including timber flooring, kitchen joinery and interior detailing. By aligning closely with the design intent, we delivered consistent and believable visuals that elevate the perceived quality of the development.
The final imagery provides a compelling set of residential CGI visuals and property marketing renders, helping the client effectively communicate the scheme and maximise engagement across marketing platforms. Take a look at the interior visuals below:
