North Made Studio was commissioned to produce a suite of high-quality exterior and interior CGI visuals, a VR Tour and a short animation for a proposed collection of luxury woodland lodges in the Scottish Highlands near Loch Ness.
Working from architectural drawings and early design intent, we created photorealistic imagery and immersive digital media that helped communicate the development’s atmosphere, character and lifestyle offering. Our visualisation work supported early marketing, investor presentations and design discussions.
THE DEVELOPMENT
Nestled within the dramatic scenery of the Scottish Highlands, the proposed luxury lodge development was envisioned as a modern retreat designed to harmonise with the woodland landscape surrounding Loch Ness. The concept featured a mix of two- and four-bedroom lodges, each shaped around open-plan living, extensive glazing and a warm, contemporary palette that framed views of the surrounding hills and trees.
The architecture blended Scandinavian-inspired lines with natural materials, offering spacious interiors, outdoor terraces and family-friendly layouts. Externally, landscaped pathways, soft planting and private hot tub areas contributed to a sense of relaxation and escapism that aligned with the development’s premium positioning.
As the site had no built structures at the time, high-quality architectural CGI and immersive digital tools played a vital role in communicating the full vision to stakeholders. Our work enabled early marketing materials to present a confident, well-realised representation of the lifestyle and character the development aimed to offer.
OUR VISUALISATION APPROACH
Our approach focused on delivering a full suite of architectural visualisation solutions that conveyed the calm, contemporary identity of the lodge designs. Each interior and exterior CGI was meticulously crafted to capture accurate material finishes, high-quality lighting, and the natural drama of the Highland landscape. Timber textures, soft furnishings, glazing reflections and landscape detailing were carefully balanced to deliver photoreal results.
To deepen the sense of immersion, we created a VR Tour of one of the lodges — an interactive 360-degree walkthrough enabling viewers to explore each room at their own pace. This virtual tour (hosted here: link you provided) offered a true-to-life representation of spatial flow, lighting behaviour and interior styling, giving prospective buyers and stakeholders a highly engaging way to understand the design before construction.
The animation complemented the still imagery by introducing gentle camera movement, revealing the relationship between the lodge exteriors, surrounding nature and internal spaces. By blending motion graphics, real-world lighting techniques and high-resolution rendering, we produced a compelling visual narrative that showcased both architecture and lifestyle.
