White renders are white boxes put in a space to indicate where the final visualisation will be and look like.
White renders are essential within the process of creating CGI. They are vital in regards to modelling and potential angles of the final 3D visualisation, allowing the client and the CG Designer to come to an agreement on the viewing angles.
One of the core reasons for using white renders to view the CGI images at a low resolution without textures. Creating textures for CGI scenes takes up a big chunk of time to render and by using white renders it enables you to view an idea of what the images will look like without the textures.
